Our Process

Step 1: The Initial Meeting

During your first consultation, we’ll gather personal information to understand your financial and lifestyle goals, both for the short and long term. This meeting is not chargeable, you need to be comfortable that you can work with us and us with you.

We’ll explain:

  • Who we are and what we do
  • The services we offer
  • Our fee structure
  • The advice process

We will also walk you through the financial planning process and explain your role in it. To help us create tailored strategies for you, we encourage you to disclose as much accurate information as possible about your financial situation and goals, some of this may seem irrelevant to your goal now, but it could impact later.

You will receive our Engagement & Service Document, which provides information about our company and our responsibilities to you.

We will complete a Client Profile (Fact Find), which helps us understand your current financial situation and future expectations. This will allow us to provide advice that suits your unique needs. You may be asked to complete this in advance depending on your circumstances via our secure portal Intelliflo.

We will also ask you to fill out an Investment Risk Profile Questionnaire. This helps us understand your comfort level with investing and your goals, which we’ll use to create an investment strategy that works for you.

Finally, we’ll explain the next step: creating financial recommendations for your consideration.

Step 2: Recommendation

Once we get to know your situation, we’ll put together a Recommendation Report, a clear, tailored plan designed to help you reach your goals and objectives. This report forms the foundation of the advice provided.

Unlike firms that specialise in one area, we provide advice on a full range of financial planning areas. We’re authorised by the FCA to give advice on:

  • Investing and Saving
  • Pre and Post Retirement
  • Life, Critical Illness and Income Protection
  • Private Health insurance
  • Equity Release – Lifetime Mortgages

We can refer you to our preferred partners for any other areas like Mortgages, Wills & Power of Attorney.

The report will inform you of our fee, payable if you proceed, which we’ll discuss together before moving forward. That way, everything is clear and upfront.

If you’re happy with the recommendation and our fee, we’ll take the next steps to bring your financial plan to life.

Step 3: Implementation

We put your financial plan into action, making the application, taking care of the administration, liaising with the provider and arranging access to any portals

We can also collaborate with your accountant, solicitor, or any other relevant specialists to ensure your plan is implemented in the best way possible.

Step 4: Ongoing Advice

A financial plan is a snapshot of where you are right now. Since life is constantly changing, it’s important to review your plan regularly to make sure it’s still helping you reach your goals.

We offer ongoing reviews (annually or more frequently) and provide regular updates on your financial position. We’ll continue to adjust the advice process to keep your financial plan on track and aligned with your goals.

We have a fee structure to suit most requirements, we will discuss this with you and agree with you before any ongoing advice is provided.
